HEALTH
Medical Plans – Aetna
Edward Don & Company provides two medical plan options to our associates:
both are coordinated through a primary care physician which participants can
choose service through an in-network or out-of-network provider. Both medical
plans include a prescription drug benefit with co-payments and a mail order
maintenance feature.
Dental Plans – Aetna (PPO) or Cigna (DHMO)
Edward Don & Company provides two dental plan options: a traditional dental plan (PPO),
which allows you the flexibility to choose your dentist at the time of service and
a dental maintenance organization (DHMO), which provides benefits at a higher level
through treatment from a network dentist.
Vision – EyeMed Vision Care
Edward Don & Company provides vision care to our associates through EyeMed Vision Care,
with thousands of locations nationwide and access to a broad network of eye care
providers. The vision plan offers vision care services including annual eye exams,
LASIK and PRK procedures; additionally, the plan offers eyewear discounts. Fees,
co-payments and discounts are in accordance with plan coverage.
FINANCIAL SECURITY
Credit Union – Corporate America Family Credit Union
Edward Don & Company provides membership in a local credit union,
which offers a variety of banking services.
Disability Insurance – Unum Provident
Edward Don & Company provides two income protection plan options for its
associates. Associates may purchase short term disability coverage, which
provides a benefit of 60% of compensation for up to 26 weeks and long term
disability coverage, which provides a benefit of 60% of compensation
beginning with the 27th week of disability to the end of the disability
payment period.
Employee Referral Program
Edward Don & Company recognizes that existing associates are an excellent
source for employment applicants. Associates are encouraged to refer
qualified candidates for employment opportunities. Associates will
receive monetary rewards when they refer an individual who is hired
by the Company, if eligibility requirements are met.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Associates may deposit up to $2,500 on an annual pre-tax basis into a Healthcare
Spending Account to pay for eligible health, dental and vision care expenses not
covered by the benefit plan. Associates may also deposit up to $5,000 on an annual
pre-tax basis into a Dependent Care Spending Account to pay for childcare or
eldercare expenses.
Life Insurance – Unum Provident
Edward Don & Company provides each associate basic life insurance equivalent to one
times base salary. Associates may purchase additional life insurance subject to
plan approval. Spousal and dependent coverage is also available for purchase.
Merchandise Discounts
Edward Don & Company provides associates the option to purchase merchandise within
the Company's portfolio at special discount prices.
401(k) Plan – Securian
Edward Don & Company provides associates the option to participate in its 401(K)
Savings Plan after one month of service. Associates may choose to invest a percentage
of their compensation (not to exceed the IRS annual limit) in any of sixteen
allocation options; including funds from Janus, Fidelity, Vanguard and more.
Associate contributions are matched $0.50 on the dollar up to an annual maximum.
QUALITY OF LIFE
Holidays
Edward Don & Company provides paid time off for the following eight annual holidays:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Day
after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve Day, and Christmas Day.
Work/Life Balance -- Unum Provident
Provides employees and family members confidential access to professional counselors
and specialists in various fields. Types of issues that this program can assist
employees with include alcohol or substance abuse, stress, legal or financial issues,
emotional, family or marital difficulties, childcare or eldercare placement, school
sources and consumer information.
Sick/Personal Days
Edward Don & Company provides all associate five paid sick/personal days each year.
Tuition Reimbursement
Edward Don & Company provides up to $2,000 per year for approved undergraduate courses
and up to $2,500 per year for approved graduate courses. Reimbursement may be
used for tuition, books and fees.
